      DONATE

Please donate to our cause so we can continue our work here in the United States and West Papua. The West Papua Human Rights Center (WPHRC) is a legitimate NGO here in the United States, and contributions or donations to our organization are tax deductible.

      JOURNALISM & MEDIA

Training workshop – Journalism and media

Media training and documentary are important in our work. News gathering, interview and documentary are crucial to our project, and we are looking for ways to enhance it.

      COMMUNITY TRAINING

West Papuan community and political activists at their training.

Community organizing and training are an integral part of our ‘Nonviolent movement’ in West Papua. These are people that believed that the issues of West Papua can be addressed through peaceful means. They live among the people and work with the people on how to raise our issues while maintaining peace in the community.

      HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCACY

Our organization is grounded in the principles of ‘Nonviolence’ and peace. As such, we advocate for peaceful struggle against oppression and occupation.

      LAW AWARENESS

Self-determination and the rule of Law

Understand the legal arguments of West Papua is important. Here are snapshots of our training of volunteers and interested individuals who wanted to know more about our struggle for self-determination. The legal arguments for West Papuan self-determination were laid out by Dr. Thom Wainggai in his argument against the Indonesian courts during his trial.

      DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTION

Movie production is one of the effective ways we use to tell our stories. We provide training to grassroot orgs on video capturing, editing and publishing.

      CULTURAL EXCHANGE

      Exchange cultural ideas with foreigners

It is important to learn from others and understand their cultures. One of our priorities is to promote our culture through this website and through cultural training programs which will be provided in the future.
